The Department of Linguistics offers a wide array of courses in the field, ranging from lower division courses aimed at those interested in exploring the wonders of human language to a strong set of offerings for undergraduate majors to an extensive set of courses for our graduate programs. We are committed, both as a teaching faculty and as individual scholars, to ensuring that our courses are challenging and demanding, that they will contribute substantially to your education. We are devoted to ensuring that serious students will enjoy significant academic success from each course taken.
